GATEWAY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The YUDW is part of a team led by the New York office of Perkins+Will to design a new campus in downtown New Haven for Gateway Community College, currently located on two remote sites. The project, scheduled for completion in 2010, will be the biggest new development in downtown New Haven in many years. To be sited on a critical two-block site along Church Street, formerly occupied by the Macy’s and Malley’s department stores, the Gateway project will include nearly 400,000 square feet of space, serving almost 10,000 students and staff.
