| GUILFORD TOWN CENTER SOUTH PLANNING FRAMEWORK | ||
|
Team: Tony Goldsby, Andrew Lyon, Ashley Forde Guilford is a historic town of around twenty-one thousand inhabitants and roughly seven thousand households. The proposed construction of a new Amtrak station has created the potential for significant new growth in Guilford. This station creates an accessible commuter loop to New Haven, and will facilitate increased tourist travel to Guilford. The goal of this proposal is to present a framework for future transit-oriented development in Guilford’s Town Center South district. The proposal emerged from a set of community-based workshops sponsored by the Guilford Preservation Alliance and organized by the Yale Urban Design Workshop. |
