The YUDW collaborated with the Connecticut Economic Resource Center on a “Downtown Action Strategy” for this small town just southwest of Hartford. Along with a market analysis and economic development recommendations, the YUDW proposed options for revitalizing the commercial and institutional core of Plainville, employing traffic calming and streetscape improvements to make the center more pedestrian-friendly, consolidating parking, and exploring opportunities for the development of new public spaces, including proposals for a new Town Green.
