| UNIONVILLE VILLAGE CENTER PLAN | ||
|
Team: Nathan St. John, James Detzel, Ezra Groskin, Alan Plattus, faculty In collaboration with students and faculty from the University of Connecticut’s landscape architecture program, the YUDW is worked to develop an analysis and design for the center of Unionville, a historic village on the Farmington River. The integrity and character of the center has been eroded by several decades of strip encroachment, which this project is seeking to correct. In addition, a small supermarket in the village would like to expand to a new big-box facility, and the YUDW study served, in part, to explore ways of integrating this scale of development with the redevelopment of a village-scale center. |
