This machine uses Power Mill to generate Code for the mill. It is complicated to use and requires training in order to use the robot.

End Mills and Supplies

This Machine is open to Use, but Students need to provide their own materials.

Note: a $10.00 per login charge will be applied whne you login to the machine to transfer files to the robot. This charge covers the wear and tear of the various bits.

This machine comes with an integral Tool Holder. Tools for the Robot are supplied by the shop.

You can load into powermill a macro that sets all of the current tools. If you have trouble loading the tool template macro, you can always create the tools from scratch.

Access to Machine

In order to gain access to this machine, students need to go through an orientation on its use. Orientations are given by fabrication monitors. Simply schedule a time with a fabrication monitor during one of their shifts. After completing the orientation, a DM staff member will enable your login on the machine.
