| Faculty Personal Equipment Support and Guidelines: | ||
| The digital media staff provides support for faculties personal equipment for the following: | ||

Setup of and configuration of personal equipment for connecting to the School of Architecture's computer network: | |
| The Digital Media Staff will configure a faculty member's personal machine so that they can connect to the school of Architecture's computer network. This includes the following configurations: | ||

Updating the installed operating system with the latest service packs and security patches to protect the machine on the network. | |
2. |
Installing and configuring the Terminal Server client. | |
3. |
Installing VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection software. | |
4. |
Installing printer drivers for office laser printers. | |

Support in connecting faculty personal computers to presentation equipment in the School of Architecture: | |
| The digital
media staff will assist faculty members in configuring their equipment
so
that it works on the presentation equipment in the school. This includes
configuring the equipment displays and updating system drivers. Please Note: Digital media computers are located in each classroom, in a worse case scenario, we will copy the presentation files off of your personal computer and load them onto the presentation machine. |

Faculty support in printing or plotting documents: | |
| The digital
media staff will assist faculty members in printing
to the school's printing equipment. Printing and Plotting of Professional work is not allowed. |

| The digital media staff DOES NOT provide support for the following things: | ||
| The digital
media staff cannot provide technical support for any personal computer, operating system,
or
3rd party software or hardware. Furthermore, the digital media staff cannot
service a faculty owned machine. This includes installing hardware components
or
repairing hardware or software components on personal computers. If a digital media staff member were to damage a machine or its configurations, then a faculty member could hold the digital media staff member liable for the damages and any costs associated with correcting the damages. This policy is in place to avoid such a situation. |
