Fine mode range resolution to 0.0016".
Scans 300,000 points in 2.5 seconds.
Turntable attachment allows rotating scans to scan complete parts.
Interchangeable lenses available.
Direct plug-in to Geomagic.

Equipment Use and Guidelines:
 

The 3D Laser Scanner is located in the Digital Imaging Lab and is available 24 hours 7 days a week.

Lenses:
  The mid range lens is attached to the Laser Scanner by default. Two other lenses are available, a close up lens and a wide angle lens. If you wish to change a lens on the scanner, contact a DM staff member and they can change the lens for you. These lenses are expensive and not replaceable. Only a DM staff person can change a lens on the scanner.

Rotary Table Calibration Target:
  In order to calibrate the rotary table for multiple scans, you will need to use the calibration target. The target is attached to the rotary table cabinet.
