Web/Video Conferencing Locations:
 

There are two rooms where web/video based conferencing is permanently setup: These rooms are available to the faculty and students 24hours a day 7 Days a week.
7th Floor Classroom RM 706
Polycom System Installed
Teamviewer, Skype and Adobe Connect Installed
Hands Free Conferencing Phone Installed. Phone Number - 203 436-8949

Other Web Conferencing locations include:
The computer located in each print room
All four mobile presentation screens
Student Desks that have integrated web cams in the monitor
Web/Video Software Conferencing Options:
  The School has a number of web/video conferencing options. As with all technologies there are advantages and disadvantages to the various options

Option 1:
(Best)

 Polycom with Team Viewer RM 706 No Integrated Free/Long Dist Call Remote location needs a polycom system to connect to.

Option 2:
(Good)

 Adobe Connect Any Computer Pre-Register Integrated Audio
(Not Good)
Use Cell Phone		 Free/Long Dist Call

Handles both computer screens and video.
Works on any computer through web browser with the flash player.
You need to pre-register with the DM office to get a meeting window.
Integrated audio is not very good. Plan to use a cell phone or a conf phone instead.
Option 3:
(Adequate)		 Skype Any Computer No Integrated Audio
(Not Good)
Use Cell Phone		 Free Handles Both Computer Screens and Video. Works with any computer with Skype installed.

Option 4:
(Limited)

 Team Viewer Only Any Computer No None Free Only allows you to share your screen. No audio component. Use a cell phone or a conf phone.
Using Adobe Connect:
  Adobe Connect works on any computer with a web browser and the flash player installed. In order to use Adobe Connect, you need to pre-register for the meeting window. Once registered, a web link will be sent to you and the remote participants. Once you get the link, click on the link just before your meeting to start the web conf.

If you plan on using the web conf on a regular bases, and more permanent Adobe Connect account can be provided to you.
