Sending an Arc-wire:

To send an Arc-wire, open your e-mail software and in the " to:" field, type in one of the following targeted address:

arcwire@lists.architecture.yale.edu(Everyone: Alumni, Guests, Faculty etc)
allstudents@lists.architecture.yale.edu (All Architecture Students)

Please Note:
You need to be part of a particular list in order to send an Arc-wire to that list.
The e-mail will be sent to the Arc-wire Manager for approval. Once approved it will then be sent out.
Please allow 24 hours for the e-mail to be approved.
  Arc-wire messages will be approved for the following subjects only:
School Sponsored Announcements, Lectures and Exhibitions, Job Postings, Notices and Announcements from Faculty.
Please note that arc-wire's awaiting approval are checked by full time staff Monday - Friday.
   
Automatically Advancing Arc-wire Lists year to year on July 01:
 

On July 01 of every year, each incoming classes e-mails are added to these lists and all e-mails in graduated student lists are automatically moved to the main Arc-wire list which is intended for all students, staff, faculty, alumni, and guests of the school.

All incoming Yale student e-mail's are inputted into all appropriate lists from the School's database. This is the only time your Yale e-mail is added to the Arc-wire system by the School for you.

  • If, you are not receiving e-mails from a particular list, then you need to subscribe yourself to that particular list.
  • If you wish to change the arc-wire e-mail to a non-yale e-mail you need to unsubscribe your Yale e-mail and subscribe to the list with your non-Yale e-mail.
    Note: We highly recommend you maintain your Yale E-mail in Arc-wire.
  • Note: This is not automatically done for you.

Subscribing to Arc-wire:
 

You can be added on the Arc-wire Mailing list by sending an e-mail to the following address:

subscribe-arcwire@lists.architecture.yale.edu(Everyone: alumni, guests, faculty etc)
subscribe-allstudents@lists.architecture.yale.edu (All Architecture Students)

When you send the e-mail the Arc-wire system will automatically add your e-mail to the system.
   

Un-Subscribing to Arc-wire:

 

We highly recommend that you keep an active link to the arc-wire system. Important information is often broadcast on arc-wire However, if you do not want to get arc-wire, then simply click on the un-subscribe link at the bottom of the e-mail. This will remove you from the arc-wire list.
   

Changing your default Arc-wire Address:

 

You can change the e-mail address that receives the arc-wire e-mails, by first subscribing to arc-wire with the new address, and then un-subscribing to arc-wire with your old e-mail address.
