Configuring the Yale VPN on your Mac: |
|
|
Yale's Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows users connecting from a non-Yale internet service provider to access Yale services as though the user was on Yale's network. Using VPN enables you to connect to the school's internal servers, such as your user space and class space. There are two options for setting up VPN on a Mac. You can use the Cisco Systems VPN Client software that Yale provides, which is easier to configure but requires installing the software. As an alternative, you can use the VPN software which is already built-in to the Mac, but which requires a little more work to configure. Read over the steps for the two options, and follow whichever you feel more comfortable with. |
