Computer Purchase Recommended Specifications and Equipment:
1. Wait until after your First Semester is over BEFORE buying a computer!
We recommed you wait until winter break before buying a computer system. That way you will have a better idea on how much computer you need.
2.
Desktop Computer vs Laptop/Notebook Computer:
We recommended that you purchase a laptop or a notebook computer because of its portability. You can take it to the library, home, and studio.
Some students do have desktop machines in the studio. However securing the equipment is the students responsibility.

3.

Macintosh or PC, which should I get?
This is a classic question. The school's wireless and print server supports both Macintosh and PC personal computers.

The question of a PC vs Mac really comes down to a personal preference. If you are not sure, then purchase a PC.
