Check on "Show Live Image Window" This will open up a window and allow you to see through and aim the laser scanner.

Check on "Dynamic Range Expansion Mode". This will allow the camera to dynamically sets its power and intensity of the laser light on the object.

Check on "Auto Focus"

Scanned Object
8.
Step Eight: Save your model. Select "File>Save As", and Save your model as a STL, or DXF file format.

Additional Options:
Sometimes you cannot capture the entire depth of an object in one scan pass. If you have this problem you can perform multiple scans on the same object adjusting the distance of each scan on the object. This is similar to changing the F-Stop focus depth in an image. Geomagic will then cobmine each scan into one 3D model.

To do this check on "Variable Distance Mode" and set he number of scans and scanning distance before clicking on the "Scan" Button in Step 7 listed above.

No. of Scans: This sets the number of scans to be taken at a set distance interval through the object.

Distance Increment: This sets the distance increment of each scan.
