Precix CNC Router -Router Setup and Operation:
Powering Up the Machine:
1.
Make sure that the router table is free and clear. Note: Do not clamp your piece down yet.
2.
Power up the machine by pushing the green power button on the front of the black controller box.
3.
On the upper right corner of the computer screen, Click on the tab "Turn Power On"
4.
Next, click on the "Homing" button. This will set the machines outer limits.
Load your cutting Job:
1.
Click on the button "Add Job to Queue"
2.
At the browse window, locate your job, and click the "Open" Button.
3.
In the loaded job list, highlight your job, and click the "Select as Current Job" Button.
4.
Click on the "Job Output" Button and then click on the "Preview" Button.
5.
You will see your job load on the table's preview window. Verify that it is completely on the table in the preview window. Note: If you do not see the job, then you need to set your project origin to a new location on the table. Continue with the next steps, and then try to preview your job.
Loading and Homing your material:
1.
Clamp your material to the clamping Jig(s), and fix the jig(s) to the table.
2.
Load your bit into the router motor, and tighten the collet using the provided wrenches at the machine.
3.
Jog the router so the bit is over the starting point of your material.
4.
Jog down the router bit so the tip of the bit is just touching the material.
5.
Click on the "Z-0" Button. This sets the home position for the height.
6.
Set the "Z-M" Button by clicking on the text part and typing in the thickness of the material. This is the maximum the bit will cut into the material. The Z-M should NEVER be greater than the overall material thickness.
7.
Set the "Z-Up" Button by clicking on the text part and typing in the height. The Z-Up is how far the bit goes above the material before it moves horizontally. This should be high enough to clear any clamps.
8.
Move the tip of the router bit up slightly, and them move it horizontally to the starting point on the material. Then click on the "Set Origin" button in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
9.
The Material is now setup and ready to cut.
Final Checks before cutting:
1.
Make sure your initial Cutting Speed (Click on the Cutting Speed button, and then move the slider to adjust this setting) is set to 1.0 for wood, or 0.5 for plastics. You can adjust this setting after the job has started.
2.
Check your Z-M setting, to make sure it does not exceed your material thickness.
If the Z-M exceeds your material thickness, you can seriously damage the CNC Router. Make sure Z-M is set to the same thickness as your material.
3.
Make sure your material location on the Router, and the Origin position on the machine software are set to the same location.
Starting the Job:
1.
Locate a CNC Mill Supervisor
2.
Have Him/Her check off the Cutting Job Check off Sheet, Make sure they sign it before proceeding. These Job Cut Sheets are located on the wall next to the machine.
3.
The CNC Mill Supervisor will Activate the CNC Motor with a Key
4.
Turn on the dust collection system.
5.
Turn the Motor Controller Speed on and adjust the speed. The speed is measured in RPM (Revolutions per Minute)

Hard Woods and MDF - 9000 to 12000 RPM
Acrylic -6000 RPM
Foam - 4800 RPM
6.
Click the spindle button to "On" instead of "Automatic" on the controller interface. The motor will start up.
7.
Click the "Start" Button on the screen. Your job will start.
8.
Click the "Auto" button in the motor spindle window after the job starts. The Auto button will automatically stop the motor if something is wrong and it will also stop automatically when the job finishes.
When Finished:
1.
Turn off the motor controller.
2.
Turn off the Motor Switch Controller mounted on the wall. (Note do this on you last cut only)

Unclamp your finished piece.
3.
Click "Done" in your job setup window.
4.
Click "Shut Down" in the main window.
5.
Power Down the machine by pushing the green power button.
6.

Cleanup any extra dust and chips from the machine.
