This course reviews materials and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) processes especially suited for digitally crafting inspired and unique architectural components. Students use 3-D modeling programs, including a digital environment that mimics carving actual materials, and then translate their designs into tangible prototypes using a wide range of CAM equipment. Required projects feature increasingly complex geometry as the course progresses. Limited enrollment.
