Gilbert, Anne M.

Ms. Gilbert is a senior project engineer at the structural engineering firm of Spiegel Zamecnik & Shah, Inc., New Haven and Washington, D.C. Her background includes structural design of hospitals, laboratories, university, commercial and residential buildings, as well as seismic evaluation and renovation of existing structures in high seismic areas. Prior to the structural engineering profession, Ms. Gilbert's architectural building design included commercial and residential buildings, and renovations of urban brownstones. Her experience includes naval architecture design and marine engineering of passenger and fishing vessels. She is a co-author, along with Kenneth Leet and Chia-Ming Uang, of The Fundamentals of Structural Analysis, third edition (McGraw-Hill, 2006).
