After printing your document to a PDF, using the AdobePDF printer on your computers, you can print only a small strip of your document to determine if your colors and lineweights match your intention.

With your PDF open in Acrobat, open the Tools sidebar, then open the Pages submenu, and select the Crop tool.

Then, double-click on your document to get to the crop interface. From there, specify an offset distance from either the top & bottom or right & left edges of your document to produce a strip. You can print a strip down to a width of 2”.

If necessary, rotate your page so that it is oriented landscape on the page, with its long dimension across the width of your screen, and the narrow dimension along the height.

Now print as usual, following the best practices.
