Ambassador (ret.) Luis C.deBaca coordinated U.S. activities in the global fight against contemporary forms of slavery during the Obama Administration. Previously, as one of the country’s most decorated federal Civil Rights prosecutors, C.deBaca investigated and prosecuted crimes of human trafficking, immigration, hate crimes, and police brutality. He teaches on the history of Civil Rights enforcement and the impact of forced labor in the built environment through supply chains and working conditions and in the context of monuments and memorialization.
