Visiting Professor
Jonathan Toews is a founding partner and principal of Davies Toews Architecture. The practice emphasizes scalar diversity, exploration through modelling and building and the discovery of the unexpected within existing constraints. The firm’s work includes residential, commercial and institutional projects, for private, corporate and non-profit clients as well as sculpture, jewelry and books. Prior to forming Davies Toews in 2009 with partner Trattie Davies, Toews worked with Grimshaw Architects, SHoP Architects, Leroy Street Studio and Robert A.M. Stern Architects in New York City. Davies Toews was included in the 2018 Architectural Record Design Vanguard and 2019 recipient of the New York Architectural League’s Emerging Voices award. Toews received his B.A and M. Arch from Yale University.
