Karolina Czeczek
Karolina Czeczek is an architect and a Principal of Only If—, a New York City-based design practice for architecture and urbanism. Only If’s projects span a range of different types and scales, from commercial interiors, single- and multiple family housing, to larger-scale urban planning, research, and speculation.
Only If is a winner of the NYC HPD organized Big Ideas for Small Lots competition to develop affordable housing on the narrow lots in New York City. In 2020, Only If was named as one of the 50 best emerging architecture firms in the world by Domus, has been recognized as Architect Magazine’s Next Progressives in 2019 and a winner of the 2018 AIANY New Practices New York.
Czeczek has previously taught as Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design, a Visiting Professor at the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning at the University of Cincinnati and the University of Kentucky College of Design. Czeczek previously worked at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) in Rotterdam and Hong Kong.
Czeczek is a Fulbright Scholar and recipient of the Wirt Winchester Travel Fellowship from Yale School of Architecture. Czeczek is a registered architect in the Netherlands and Poland.
