Alastair Elliott

Lecturer

Alastair Elliott joined Silman in 1995 and since 2014 has been a Principal and Chief Operating Officer for the firm. His experience covers a wide range of project types, including cultural, education, religious, and residential, for both existing building and new construction. Alastair is currently a Lecturer in Architecture at Yale School of Architecture. He has previously been a guest lecturer and studio critic at Cornell University College of Architecture Art and Planning.

Alastair is active in industry organizations, and is a Past President for the Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY). He has also held several board positions with SEAoNY and currently serves on its Codes and Standards committee. Alastair was a member of the New York City Building Code revision committee from 2012-2013.

Alastair received a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Miami and a M.Eng. in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
