Summer Programs

The summers can offer expanded fields for learning beyong the walls of the School for M.Arch students. For students entering the professional degree program without an architecture background, the required Visualization I course in the summer before the first year of study offers the fundamentals of architectural drawing and modeling techniques. All students in the professional degree program are required to take the Building Project course for the first half of the summer after their first year.

Students in both the professional and post-professional M.Arch degree programs have the opportunity to enroll in optional courses in the summer before the final year of study. These programs include the summer drawing seminar in Rome, a seminar at Chalmers University in Gothenburg, Sweden, and a seminar at the New Lab at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
