You can map (connect) to class and resource folders if you are off campus. You will need to enable a VPN connection before you can map or connect to these server folders.
Step 1:
Within the Finder, click on the “Go” menu at the top of the screen and select “Connect to Server…”
Step 2:
In the Server Address filed, type in one of the following server shares
smb://storage.yale.edu/home/Arch_Courses-776101-YSOA
smb://storage.yale.edu/home/Arch_Resources_and_Special_Projects-776101-YSOA
smb://storage.yale.edu/home/Arch_ScanDropBox-776101-YSOA
smb://storage.yale.edu/home/Arch_Temporary_Space-776101-YSOA
Click the Connect button.
Step 3:
Under Connect as, choose Registered User.
Name: type in “Yale\NetID” – replace NetId with your NetID
Password: type in your Yale password.
Check on Remember this password in my keychain to avoid re-authentication.
Step Four:
Your folder will be mapped.
